A Basic Yoga Class  includes opening poses, standing poses, salutations, shoulder and hip exercises, back and forward bends, inversions, twists, and finishing poses.

 

This is a continuation of the Basic Yoga Class that involves a deeper exploration of the connection between the physical and spiritual Self. Previous experience is required.

Sukha Yoga (formerly: Yin Yoga) is a quiet practice where postures (Asana) can be held for longer periods of time in order to gently stress the joints and allow energy to flow into the deeper tissues of the body. In Sukha Yoga, we learn how to de-contract the body in order to remain in a pose, passively, for a longer period of time. We also learn how to tune into the flow of the breath, the sensations in the body, and eventually, allow the mind to slow down. Sukha Yoga is a form of meditation and mindfulness that anyone can use to help overcome obstacles and challenges in life. Sukha Yoga balances more active Vinyasa Style Yoga and can be an effective way to heal injuries, increase joint mobility, and relieve stress related illnesses. 

   

SURYA means:  "like the SUN." In this form of yoga practice, we combine the energy, heat, and strength  of the sun fused with the light and trust we offer our "partners in practice!" The result is profound!
